Missing You

These are some lyrics I wrote that I thought pertained to someone who had lost someone they loved to cancer. I don't have music because I cannot write music to save my life, but these are the lyrics.

The night is still young

The stars just beginning to shine

The moon is not yet high up in the sky

The city lights are streaming

While the darkness still falls

While I just sit hereAnd think about you

Why did you have to go so soon

Why did you have to leave me here

The walls are closing in I can barely your voice

Echo in the night

And it's all I can do

Just to think about missing you

How can one small thing

Cause so many scars to form

The road they say is less traveled

Is still weary and worn

I just want to go back down that road

To see you again

While I just sit here

And think about you

Why did you have to go so soon

Why did you have to leave me here

The walls are closing in

I can barely your voice

Echo in the night

And it's all I can do

Just to think about missing you

That cancer eating away

At your warm heart

Until that last day

On that weary road

That ended my way

The tears that I cry

Just add to the hurt I feel

I still remember how your eyes shone

In that bright room

And the tears they come faster

Falling to the ground

And it's all I can do

Just trying not to think of you

Compilation CD

Well, I have decided to try and get artists to join in on my compilation CD for cancer. Little children with cancer deserve longer lives filled with hope and well, living. It always brings tears to my eyes when I hear about the young children with cancer because I have a three year old sister who, if ever in that situation, I would not know what to do with myself. So, I have decided to do a compilation CD geared toward cancer. It is my hope that the lyrics will tell a story, almost like 'Sarabeth' by Rascal Flatts.

Hello. Welcome to Luminosity Magazine. This is a magazine geared toward cancer through alternative music. I know that for me this music has inspired many things, including my writing. It has now inspired me to go for cancer research funding through music. I know I am not the first person who has had this idea and I know I will not be the last. But if we are trying to do as much as we can to help people, especially young children, live their lives then I think that we should all try to do something like this. I am hoping to have artist interviews on their views on the subject and for those who have battled and survived cancer. Some have even had loved ones go through cancer so I would like to know their stories as well. Even those who are not music artists, your stories are welcome!
